Stock features on this guitar are no less remarkable starting with the graphite-reinforced baked maple neck which has a hand-rubbed oil finish for fast play and extreme comfort. Neck has 22 jumbo frets on a compound fretboard that goes from 12" at the nut to a comfortable and flat 16" radius on the upper frets.

Other comfort features include a forearm contour for less arm fatigue as well as a belly cut that allows the guitar to fit your torso more comfortably. When you strip away everything this guitar is essentially a Baretta, with a single humbucker and volume control, and while it's not the most versatile, many players in the 80's and 90's made some great music with this formula. It has an set up and no fret wear. In fact, nowhere on this guitar as I don't think it's been played since the finish work was done.

Option 2 is an EVH gigbag shown here pic2 which features red velvet lining with two poly patches inside where it contacts strings at the headstock and bridge, large storage compartment, compartment on back to tuck away shoulder straps and embroidered EVH logo. I think this is the first New Hartford CT Guild we've had and talking to folks who have them, most believe they're as fine as Guild has ever made.

The entire line of Hartford Guilds are universally thought to be head and shoulders above the Westerly, Corona and Tacoma Guilds. This guitar is loud, responsive, and sounds superb. I'm not sure what's up with Guild these days. I've read that production moved to Oxnard CA in but I've heard little about them during the current era other than it seems that this model is now built with a satin finish rather than lacquer. Bottom line though is that the New Hartford models are finely crafted of excellent tonewoods and should prove to be an excellent investment on the secondary market.

The history of the Guild D goes back to and was a highly regarded acoustic in the days of the folk movement. Richie Havens played one in open D tuning for his famous set at Woodstock, for an example of its pedigree. This guitar is extremely clean other than an area along the back edge where the binding had slightly separated shown here.

Lovely rosewood Grand Auditoriumstring with superb low action and beautiful tone.

It's very balanced with high end sparkle, exhibiting the huge chorusing effect I love in a string. Taylor's Grand Auditorium size is very close to a dreadnought with similar width and depth, but a tighter waist that many find more comfortable while its increased tonal presence stands out better in the mix. I fell in love with Taylors in the 80s mainly due to their slimmer necks which made it feel much like an electric guitar. The ce neck has the same slender feel which makes it easy to get around on with low action that reduces fatigue on the left hand.

With Taylor's Expression System 2 for amplified tones you get the best system for retaining the guitar's natural acoustic tone. The system employs three calibrated pickup sensors installed behind the saddle and through the bridge to capture vibrations in the strings and the solid spruce top providing balance and accuracy.

The Expression 2 was created in partnership with audio pioneer Rupert Neve, with simple controls consisting of just volume, bass and treble controls. Other features include Grand Auditorium body size, Solid Sitka spruce top, Venetian cutaway for easy access to the upper frets, rosewood back and sides, sapele neck and ebony fingerboard. This guitar is in lovely condition with the only flaw being a center-seam crack see arrow here which has been professionally glued, cleated, and lacquered over.

Its gloss finish shines like new and it even has some nice figuring in the sapele neck. Designed by Fender Master Builder Greg Fessler and features a blend of the old and the new, something Fender has been featuring occasionally for the past decade. The 60's Classic Player has some unique features most notably and absolutely breathtaking gold flake finish that Fender calls Vegas Gold.

I've had flake finishes done by several boutique builders and none of them compare to the depth or sparkle of this one. Next up we have a trio of Custom Shop '69 pickups with gray bottoms and cloth wiring. Add to this the vintage-style 2-point fulcrum bridge which features vintage bent steel saddles but on a more accurate 2-point fulcrum instead of the 5 wood screws of a vintage trem.

Other features include alder body, maple "C" shape neck with a very flat 12" radius, rosewood fingerboard, 21 medium jumbo frets, 5 way pickup selector, Gotoh vintage style tuners, Custom Shop designed neck plate and green pickguard with aged plastic parts. Red Monkey makes a lot of styles. I had a bunch of these in the 00's and although I haven't had one since '07, I've always been impressed with OLP's quality for the price, plus every one we've had set up exceptionally well.

This MM-2 has the looks and vibe of a Stingray including the oversized humbucker pickup, pickguard, controls and control plate, body shape and headstock shape.

The action is low and comfortable and it gives you a good selection of tones. Even acoustically, it sounds good. Controls include a volume knob for each of the two coils, plus a master tone control. With one knob turned up it's a single coil, good for midrangy Jazz type sounds - or with both knobs turned up it's a humbucker, which is closer to a P-bass tone. This is a solid elm body with maple neck that's not chunky, not too thin.

Nice feeling neck. Cosmetically it's in average used condition with just a dull finish and clear coat flaws. We can buff it out if desired but it has the look of a well-used bass and some of you will appreciate that. Fender uses similar wear found on Relic's including finish checking, body wear along the edges, headstock edge wear, dulled pickguard, and back of neck sanded down. Other features include alder body with nitrocellulose finish, distressed urethane neck finish, vintage 7.

Pickups are the stock Tex-Mex single coils. The set up on this guitar is spectacular - done by Sweetwater and barely needing a tweak by us. It has very good sustain, noticeable when played acoustically. I love the vibe of this guitar when I holding it, not exactly like a '60 Strat but much closer than an American Vintage series. It includes original gigbag, tags and paperwork, and trem arm. This is the "all gold" model with a Aztec Gold nitro lacquer and gold hardware, with light to medium relicing including checked finish and aged hardware with misc finish chips here and there.

One of these could easily be the centerpiece in many Anniversary model collections, to go along with your 25th, 35th, various 40th's, and production model 50th's. Features include Aztec Gold finish with gold hardware, gold anodized pickguard, V-shaped neck, finish checking and misc dings as well as fretboard "wear", aged hardware, and 50th Anniversary neckplate.

Nice lightweight Strat at 7. Unplayed condition with Tweed case, sealed accessory bag, and COA. Less than 7. I believe this is actually a model they called Stratocaster "Special" which had some nice features not necessarily found on the Mex Standard. I know the logo wasn't the style they used on the Standards. It's a vintage spaghetti style, but without the "Custom Contour Body" decal on the ball of the headstock.

Inside it sports a trio of Alnico single coils with stag poles, USA pots and switch. I had thought that the only Specials they did were HSS but this looks all original inside and the logo wasn't used on any other Strat from the 90's.

Regardless, it's clearly a cut above the Mex Standard, on par with a 60's Classic Series. It's in spectacular condition, no disappointments in that regard.

It has a low, comfortable set up and has a good fat tone for a Strat. Lovely 90's Martin rosewood dreadnought with the classic Herringbone trim plus a few user added appointments that can be easily changed if desired. You'll note in the pics the added abalone pickguard, butterfly headstock emblem, and abalone-edged tuner buttons.

We have the original tuners buttons, can swap out the pickguard for a standard black Martin, and remove the butterfly if desired. This guitar was a father's gift to my lady customer and he had it outfitted this way when he gave it to her in Knowing some folks are into mojo, I usually post something as it comes in so here you go.

Although an attractive guitar this guitar is all about sound and it's one of the louder Martin's I've had in recent memory. It also has a very booming bass that makes it sound absolutely huge - but somehow it's very articulate and one of the better finger style Martin's I've played. Overall it has an even response and holds up to extreme strumming with ease and gets louder instead of more compressed.

Cosmetically there are just a few clearcoat scratches and impressions. Very nice condition. Both cases are in exceptionally clean condition. The new model 2 which is an update of the original Flashback now with the new "Mash" technology that is controlled solely by how much pressure you apply to the depressed footswitch. It also triples the Tone Print slots to 3 for storing effects. The Flashback 2 also allows you to easily transfer your favorite delay settings via USB, again, with custom patches by some big name artists.

After nearly a year run, the '60 Classic was discontinued by Gibson in '08, only to be resurrected 10 years later.

Like most things Gibson, I always prefer earlier versions. Their changes always seem to take a model further away from its original design, and it's hard to improve upon the original 50's Paul.

I know they're not necessarily cheaper to build, but why change something that isn't broken. The '60 Classic has all the classic features of a Les Paul Standard including glossy nitrocellulose finish, mahogany body with maple cap, mahogany one-piece neck, rosewood fretboard with aged trapezoid inlays, bound body and neck, inlaid headstock logo, nickel hardware and vintage-style tuners with tulip button. Cosmetically it's in nice shape with just some minor clear coat scratches and impressions.

Set up is very low and super easy to play. Includes brown case with combo lock and "pig" blanket. The headstock had another set of tuners at some point but we've plugged the holes so it's barely noticeable. It also has a few pro-plugged neck bolt screws but they're not visible and will never be a problem. We also did a proper install of the Floyd nut in place of the vintage nut. The back of the neck is unfinished, another Charvel feature, which feels great, and with the thin profile you can really blaze on this thing.

We painted the headstock to match the body and installed an early 80's logo which looks okay but looks thin and worn. The neck has loads of birdseye; one of the best looking necks you'll find. Really nice example in classic 3-tone sunburst. The AmPro is the latest and greatest version of the American Standard, with some nice enhancements over the previous versions. Pickups were developed by pickup guru Tim Shaw including the "Shawbucker" bridge humbucker and V-Mod's in the middle and neck.

These new V-Mod single-coil pickups are voiced specifically for each position, mixing alnico magnet types to produce a more powerful tone while still sounding like classic vintage Fender.

Add to that more clarity on the highs with Fender's new treble-bleed tone circuit. This one plays sooo nice, low action and not a hint of buzz. Cosmetically it's really nice with perfect frets and only flaws are a few clear coat impressions on the back.

It's very rare that I get in older Steinbergers, and I'm definitely a fan of these. Ned Steinberger's designs were famous for the headless neck with tuning done via tuners integrated into the bridge which was the most radical guitar design innovation in decades. Rather than fight a mound of lawsuits from other companies stealing his idea, he licensed it to many other manufacturers, which is why you'll see a licensed Steinberger system on lower end models such as Cort.

The gloss black finish is in decent shape with just some clear coat scratches and a small touch up next to the trem shown here. Includes original Steinberger gigbag, trem arm, Dunlop-equipped strap and an extra set of strings. Clean channel has Volume only while the Drive channel features Level and Gain plus four drive modes: Overdrive, Distortion, Metal, and Redline, which is super-duper high gain. On all settings it responds well to pick dynamics and guitar volume control regardless of setting.

For live gigs you might want to add an extension speaker and the 40R will accept any speaker load down to 4 ohms. In addition to being a good sounding amp, perhaps best of all, it only weighs around 16 lbs. ADA is hot right now.

People are rediscovering the cool tones from classics like the MP-1, MP-2, Flanger, and signature amps. Tube fans might shutter at the thought of these but this unit is heralded for its very natural tone despite the lack of tubes.

There are a lot of controls, necessary with a 2-channel preamp with independent channel voicings and EQs. Each channel has three voicing options—clean, overdrive, and distortion—followed by drive, bass, middle, treble, and master knobs. The EQ controls are derived from a Fender-style tone stack.
